I drew this picture after reading "Godchild", by Kaori Yuki, hehehe, and then I looked in a fashion magazine my sis bought me, and there was a pic of a girl with heavy eyeshadow o.O....so...yea....I couldn't really think of a good name ><.
The guy is Valoir, and the girl is Veth. I tried drawing Valoir in a more Victorian gothy style, while Veth is a punk goth XD. Valoir is a rich lord anyways, and Veth is homeless....so it fits~ XD
Argh >< My friend said I was copying Cain when when drawing Valoir, so I was bummed out for a while, but it doesn't look like him! Yaaaaah!
Valoir and Veth were originally lighter and paler, but then I fiddled with the brightness/contrast, and found that this looked much better XD! It kinda looks cheap though, eheheh, so any suggestions would be nice . My sister said that the lineart <which I'm going to put in my scraps gallery> looks nicer, and has more of an "impact"....which bummed me out for a while too ><.
The background was pretty cheap too, took me one day, but it was fun XD, this is my first time using extreme lighting, so forgive me if the lighting is totally off...>< I'm sorry! My lineart was all pencil, and edited it to look darker on the compy. This time, I didn't re colour the lineart, I think black looks nicer for a goth pic. Using pencil lineart is nice, 'cause the lines come out really thin, but I couldn't use the magic wand tool since I'm fairly casual with my pencil lines, nothing was connected, sobsobsob....
Hmmm...I liked how Veth's eyeshadow came out, but I can't really see her pants, woops. Her sleeve is super -ugly- too. Valoir doesn't really look as evil as I wanted him to either.
School's officially started dudes ;__; so I probably won't put up anything in colour for a loooooong time....mebbe I'll start inking things again XD.
I would like critique feedback! It doesnt feel finished to me >< maybe I drew it too fast >< >< ><...
This was done with..um...pencil, printer paper, and photoshop...XD
You should resize it then Makes the icky bits less obvious.
